That’s why we’ve been moving toward high-standard waterproof infrared heaters. They actually handle the environment they’re built for. The battle against steam Most basic heaters just aren’t built for a shower. You’ve got steam and splashes hitting everything, all the time. We use high-grade waterproof seals on these new units to keep the moisture far away from the electrical terminals. When you’re wiring these in, that sealed housing is your best friend. It stops condensation from turning into a ground fault. It just keeps the guts of the machine dry. Simple as that. Stop heating the ceiling Here is the thing about traditional heaters: they try to warm up the air. But if you’ve got high ceilings, that warm air just floats up and hangs out at the top of the room while you’re still shivering on the floor. Infrared is different. It sends out radiant energy that hits your skin and the floor directly. It doesn’t matter if your ceiling is three meters high; you feel the warmth the second you turn it on. A quick word on safety Now, these things put out a lot of heat. Like, a lot. You get that instant warmth, but the emitter gets hot fast. You’ve got to be smart about where you mount them so nobody accidentally touches them. And be careful with the wattage. If you cram too much power into a tiny space, you risk scorching your ceiling materials. Just balance the power with the size of the room.
