Take a 300mm tube rated at 2500W: it puts out concentrated infrared that heats up quickly and gives you tight control over the surface you’re targeting. That’s the trade, though. You get intense heat in a short length, so you’ve got to plan your surrounding equipment and electrical setup accordingly. The heat is serious, and the wiring needs to be set up to handle it.
Built to Last: Halogen Quartz and Simple Connections
Inside the quartz envelope, the halogen environment keeps the carbon filament stable. It helps reduce evaporation and prevents hot spots from forming. The quartz tube itself handles thermal shock well and stays highly transmissive in the infrared spectrum—so the heat goes where you need it. Installation is straightforward, too. We use R7s connectors, a standard double-ended interface. Wire it up, line up the contacts, and lock it into the reflector or fixture. No fuss.
